Daniel S. Lee

Daniel grew up in Detroit, Michigan and Seoul, attending part of elementary, middle, and high school in both cities. He graduated from the University of Michigan and is currently a Portfolio Manager at BOS, a wealth management firm based in San Francisco. During his free time, he enjoys golfing, hiking, and exploring wine country.  He sits on the board of the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco, the UC Berkeley Personal Financial Planning Program Advisory Board, and is a past president of the Michigan Alumni Club of San Francisco.

Daniel is passionate about volunteering because it provides perspective and a unique opportunity to meet and learn from people outside one’s comfort zone.  He believes the senior Korean American community has paved the way for his generation’s opportunity for success, and we have a responsibility to make sure seniors remain an important part of our community.  Daniel has helped secure sponsorships for KACF-SF fundraising events, and after participating in a volunteering event last year is helping to organize a volunteer program at the Korean American senior center in San Francisco.

“I’m continuously in awe of the smart and talented Korean Americans I meet in the Bay Area.  I feel KACF is organizing and empowering individuals to foster a greater sense of community.  It is drawing attention to areas of the community that need help, and creating opportunities for volunteers.  It’s exciting to be part of an organization with such passionate leaders and big dreams.”
