Nuri is a Product Marketing Manager at Zenefits, an online human services platform. A native San Franciscan and having attended K-12 in the city’s school system, Nuri is acutely aware of the challenges faced by San Francisco’s school district and the Korean American public student body. His experiences growing up Korean American in the city nurtured his interest in mapping and coordinating new services for the Korean American community in the Bay Area. His desire to give back brought him to KACF-SF, through which he first volunteered for the annual Korean American Service Day, organized by NetKAL in 2014. Since then, he has contributed his time and talent to helping with our website and participating in brainstorming sessions with other young Korean American professionals to discuss ways they can best contribute to KACF-SF’s mission.

Nuri is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a major in political economy. When he’s not working, he enjoys hiking (especially in Yosemite) and studying Korean American generational differences and opportunity gaps.

“It’s astonishing and inspiring to be around so many promising leaders and groups in the Korean American community. It reminds you of how far we’ve come as a community and how far we still have left to go. I’m happy to be part of KACF-SF’s efforts to lead us in strengthening the Korean American community.”
