Lina Park brings a combined 21 years of experience in nonprofit and communications that has engaged donors and built brand recognition. Her nonprofit experience has spanned many industries from community health and education to the arts. She brings nonprofit management skills in many areas including donor cultivation & engagement, annual & capital campaigns, fundraising & events, board development, membership & volunteer engagement, social media, branding, marketing, and communications.
Prior to transitioning her career into nonprofit, Lina worked in the private sector where she provided strategic counsel and implemented communications strategies around product awareness and executive positioning for the business-to-business, high-tech, and telecommunication industries. During that time, she worked in both small boutique high-tech public relations firms and the world’s largest public relations agency, Edelman. She has also served as a communications consultant to business-to-business and consumer start-up companies.
Lina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Emory University and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of San Diego.
She was born in Korea and since moving to the United States at the age of four, she has lived in nearly every region of the country. She now calls the Bay Area her home where she resides with her husband and three very active children. Lina is slowly working toward accomplishing many personal goals and has checked off completing a half-marathon and triathlon. She’s now aspiring to accomplish the yogi handstand in between raising three kids, discovering new Bay Area restaurants and Napa wineries, and keeping up with her inner bookworm. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about supporting the needs of the underserved and is now eager to play a role in building a philanthropic movement in the Bay Area through KACF-SF.
