More than 430 guests and volunteers gathered to celebrate pioneers and trailblazers of the Korean American community in the Bay Area. The evening was filled with inspiration, laughter, and community building.This year's Gala honored Bill and Mary Kim (Founding Chairman & CEO, Kizan International, Inc. and Founding Member, KACF-SF) for Leadership in Philanthropy; Mike and Albert Lee (Co-Founders of MyFitnessPal) as Corporate Honorees; and legendary journalist and human rights activist K.W. Lee for the Pioneer Award. Their careers, accomplishments and life stories are truly inspiring!A unique feature at this year's Gala was the contributions by four culinary trailblazers -- Korean American and Korean-inspired celebrity chefs in the Bay Area -- who offered their tasty creations during the reception. The chefs were: Danny Bowien (Mission Chinese Food), Brandon Kirksey (Foxsister), Dennis Lee (Namu Gaji), and Robin Song (Junju).We are grateful to everyone who attended and supported KACF-SF through the Gala!
