We invite interested members of the community to participate in our grantmaking process through our Community Grants Committee (CGC). CGC members are volunteers who bring a wide range of professional and personal experiences in helping KACF-SF invest in our community. 

As a member of the CGC, you have an opportunity to:

  • Understand the issues affecting the Korean American community

  • Receive hands-on experience with the grantmaking process 

  • Meet and engage with other community-minded individuals

  • Be a part of the solution

2023 Timeline

  • September 15: Deadline to apply for CGC

  • September 22: CGC applicants will be notified of their status (The number of CGC applicants we are able to accommodate depends on the number of grant applications we receive.)

  • Saturday, September 30, 11am-1pm: CGC Orientation and Training

  • Early October: CGC teams meet and prep for site visits

  • October: CGC teams conduct site visits

  • Saturday, November 4, 11am-1pm: Grants Recommendation Meeting

The approximate CGC commitment is 12-15 hours over 3 months; the training and recommendation meetings are held on Saturdays; site visits to nonprofit organizations are held on weekdays.
