We invite interested members of the community to participate in our grantmaking process through our Community Grants Committee (CGC). CGC members are volunteers who bring a wide range of professional and personal experiences in helping KACF-SF invest in our community.
As a member of the CGC, you have an opportunity to:
Understand the issues affecting the Korean American community
Receive hands-on experience with the grantmaking process
Meet and engage with other community-minded individuals
Be a part of the solution
2023 Timeline
September 15: Deadline to apply for CGC
September 22: CGC applicants will be notified of their status (The number of CGC applicants we are able to accommodate depends on the number of grant applications we receive.)
Saturday, September 30, 11am-1pm: CGC Orientation and Training
Early October: CGC teams meet and prep for site visits
October: CGC teams conduct site visits
Saturday, November 4, 11am-1pm: Grants Recommendation Meeting
The approximate CGC commitment is 12-15 hours over 3 months; the training and recommendation meetings are held on Saturdays; site visits to nonprofit organizations are held on weekdays.
