The Korean American Community Foundation (KACF) and KACF San Francisco (KACF-SF) are now accepting proposals through our 2026 Community Grants Request for Proposals (RFP), marking our first unified grantmaking cycle following the announcement of the pending merger. Eligible nonprofit organizations across the United States are invited to apply for funding through a single application process, regardless of where they are based or the communities they serve.  

Together, KACF and KACF San Francisco invest in nonprofit organizations and community initiatives that help low-income Korean American individuals and families achieve economic security and thrive. We define economic security as having the resources and opportunities to realize one’s full potential through educational attainment, meaningful employment, financial capability, access to public benefits, affordable housing and homeownership, and other pathways to immediate and long-term economic stability.

한인커뮤니티재단(KACF)과 샌프란시스코 한인커뮤니티재단 (KACF-SF)은 합병 발표 이후 처음으로 통합된 보조금 사업인 2026년 ‘Community Grants’ 프로그램을 통해 비영리단체들의 지원금 신청서를 접수하고 있습니다.

KACF와 KACF-SF는 저소득 한인들의 경제적 자립과 안정을 강화하는 프로그램에 지원금을 제공합니다. 저희 재단은 경제적 안정을 개인과 가족이 경제적 잠재력을 충분히 실현할 수 있기 위해 자원을 갖는 것으로 정의합니다. 이를 위해 교육, 지속 가능하고 보람 있는 일자리, 재정 교육, 공공 혜택, 경제적으로 감당 가능한 주거 및 주택 소유 기회 등 즉각적 및 장기적 경제 안정을 위한 다양한 경로가 마련되어야 한다고 믿으며, 이러한 경로를 제공하는 프로그램을 운영하는 비영리 단체에 지원금을 제공합니다.

Community Grants

This is a multi-year grant for 3 years with the maximum annual grant amount of $100,000. We provide general operating and program-specific support. General operating grants are only available to organizations with a budget of $5 million or less.

이 지원금은 3년간 지속되는 다년 지원금으로, 연간 최대 $100,000까지 지원 가능합니다.

Eligibility

The Foundation prioritizes organizations that are working with Korean Americans as a target population or within the larger group of constituents served by the program to help increase their economic security. We are particularly interested in organizations that:

• Are working with Korean Americans either as a target population or within the larger group of constituents served by the organization/program.

• Are engaging in partnerships with other community organizations and stakeholders;

• Have the intention of providing comprehensive support to constituents;

• Are measuring and documenting quantitative and qualitative outcomes; and

• Can clearly articulate how KACF’s grant will advance their work.

KACF will only consider organizations that:

• Are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization or have a fiscal sponsor that is 501(c)3; 

• Have an operational history of at least 6 months;

• Have an established and working Board of Directors; and

• Have filed IRS Form 990 and/or audited financials.

Funding Restrictions

We do not fund:

• Individuals

• Capital fund projects

• Endowments

• Fundraising events

• Feasibility studies

• Real estate purchases

• Public or private schools, colleges or universities

• Political causes or campaigns to elect candidates to public office

• Programs that do not comply with federal, state, or local equal employment statutes.
