“We revised our estate plan document last year because we became new grandparents. Estate planning made us think about what's important in our lives and what kind of personal legacy we would like to leave. We decided to include KACF-SF in our will because we believe in its mission to improve the lives of the most vulnerable in our community. What better message and gift to our children and grandchildren than the legacy of giving?”

Learn More About Planned Giving

What is planned giving?

Planned giving is a way to make a gift to your charity of choice through thoughtful estate planning. A planned gift as part of an overall estate plan takes your needs as well as the needs of your loved ones into consideration while helping support a cause or a charity that is personally meaningful to you.

How can I make a planned gift?

The most common way of making a planned gift is by designating KACF-SF as a beneficiary in your will. Other options are designating KACF-SF as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy. Your attorney or financial planner may have suggestions that are best suited to your unique needs.

What is the KACF-SF Legacy Society?

Members of the Legacy Society share a strong common bond of generosity and visionary leadership, supporting KACF-SF and its success. The KACF-SF Legacy Society recognizes individuals who plan to make future gifts through their estates. One optional benefit of membership is the listing of your name on the website or other documents which may be published from time to time in connection with special KACF-SF events and publications. If you prefer to remain anonymous, we are happy to honor your wishes.

How will my gift be used?

Gifts can be designated to support our annual mission-related work like grantmaking, convening, and mentorship.

When you include KACF-SF in your estate planning, it is important that we understand your wishes. Please contact us and we will work to ensure your legacy gift is allocated appropriately.
