A life-long educator passionate about history and culture education and committed to representing student voices, Rosa currently serves as the board president of Fremont Union High School District. She was born in Seoul, Korea, and worked as a TV writer until she moved to the US in 2000 with her husband and 18-month-old daughter. As a first-generation Korean-American, Rosa worked at Silicon Valley Korean School for 13 years, as a teacher, principal, and community center director. She is passionate about cultural education, which she considers essential to helping students embrace their cultural identities, and grow as confident, empathetic leaders in their local community.
