We invite interested community members to participate in our grantmaking process through our Community Grants Committee (CGC). CGC members are volunteers who bring a wide range of professional and personal experiences to help KACF-SF invest in our community.
As a member of the CGC, you have an opportunity to:
Understand the issues affecting the Korean American community
Receive hands-on experience with the grantmaking process
Meet and engage with other community-minded individuals
Be a part of the solution
2024 Timeline
September 13: Deadline to apply for CGC
September 20: CGC applicants will be notified of their status (The number of CGC applicants we are able to accommodate depends on the number of grant applications we receive.)
Tuesday, September 24, 6 PM-8 PM: CGC Orientation and Training at KACF-SF Office
Early October: CGC teams meet and prep for site visits
October: CGC teams conduct in-person and virtual site visits
Tuesday, November 19, 6 PM-8PM: Grants Recommendation Meeting at KACF-SF Office
The approximate CGC commitment is 12-15 hours over 3 months; the training and recommendation meetings are held on weekday evenings; site visits to nonprofit organizations are held on weekdays.
