Grantee Spotlight: Asian Women's Shelter
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This month, we are proud to highlight our grantee partner Asian Women's Shelter (AWS) and their K-PEACE program (Koreans Preventing and Ending Abuse Through Community Engagement) that supports and advocates for survivors.
Through K-PEACE, AWS addresses domestic violence in Bay Area Korean communities through culturally specific training and resources on domestic violence, safety planning, and healthy relationships. AWS empowers  Korean language advocates to lead efforts in sharing resources and tools to foster healthy relationships in the Korean community.
Learn how YOU can be an ally! As part of DV Awareness Month, AWS is offering a FREE virtual workshop on October 28 where we can discuss what healthy relationships look like and how we can promote safety in our communities. The workshop will be provided in English and/or Korean, depending on attendee needs.
