This year, KACF-SF is awarding $95,000 to five community-based organizations to support  capacity-building and programs targeting under-served Korean Americans in the greater Bay Area. These organizations provide critical services to vulnerable community members -- from increasing access to health care to reducing isolation of seniors to providing counseling on public benefits. The Foundation is pleased to continue our partnership with four returning grantees and forge a new one with Korean American Senior Services, Inc. in San Francisco. This year's grants largely focus on health and/or senior care, reflecting the prominence of these issues in our community. In addition to the $95K in grants, KACF-SF has set aside $45K from this year's budget to supplement 2016 funds for capacity building support and other forms of technical assistance to help strengthen partner organizations. KACF-SF therefore plans to distribute a total of $140,000 in grants and technical assistance support with funds raised in 2015.KACF-SF also will seek other opportunities and partnerships to make a real difference in our community leveraging the unique value-added role we can play. We look forward to sharing ideas with our grantee and others, and to exploring innovative and effective ways to collaborate for greater possible impact.Congratulations to KACF-SF's 2015 Community Grantee Partners:Asian Health ServicesKorean American Community Services, Inc. of Silicon ValleyKorean American Senior Citizens League of Santa ClaraKorean American Senior Services, Inc.Korean Community Center of the East Bay[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
