Inaugural Gala Exceeds Expectations

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]More than 400 guests gathered for KACF-SF’s Inaugural Gala at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco on May 7th for a magical night of celebration, inspiration, laughter, and community! We had an exceptional gathering of leaders, philanthropists and supporters of the Korean American community, in the first event of its kind for the greater Bay Area. Thanks to the incredible generosity of many, the Foundation raised more than $530,000 to improve the lives of the most vulnerable in the Bay Area's Korean American community. Photos from the evening can be found here and here.The evening included award presentations to: Joanna-Kim Selby, Executive Director of the East Bay Korean-American Senior Services Center for Leadership in Community Service; Susan Koret, Board Chair of Koret Foundation for Leadership in Philanthropy; and James Park, CEO & Co-founder of Fitbit, as Corporate Honoree. Our Keynote Speaker, Kyung B. Yoon, Executive Director of KACF in New York, was joined by guest speaker Jim Wohn, KACF Board President. Other distinguished guests included SF Mayor Ed Lee and Korean Consul General Shin Chae-Hyun.Heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported KACF-SF through the Gala, including our young volunteers!
