Karen Ha, a beloved founder and co-chair of the KACF-SF Board of Directors, passed away on September 1, 2017, succumbing to cancer after a long and brave battle. She was an extraordinary individual who embodied kindness, wise intelligence, strong leadership, and big-heartedness. She was instrumental in establishing and growing KACF-SF to be the thriving organization it is today.

KACF-SF announces that Eun-Joo Chang will be stepping down from her role as Executive Director on Dec. 31, 2017 after having served at the helm of KACF-SF since July 2014. She will be succeeded by Lina Park on Jan. 1, 2018. 

The Korean American Community Foundation of San Francisco (KACF-SF) is pleased to announce its 2017 Community Grant recipients. A total of $233,000 in grants is being awarded to nine community-based organizations.

On July 22, 2017, KACF-SF's Associate Board hosted their inaugural San Francisco Marathon Carbo-load Fundraiser event to benefit the Foundation and its grantee partners serving the Korean American community in the Bay Area.

KACF-SF hosted a special event to enjoy conversation and lunch with three extraordinary and highly accomplished Korean/Korean American women in STEM fields, with more than 40 attendees on July 15th.

KACF-SF held its 2nd Annual Gala on May 13th at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Hotel. Over 430 guests and volunteers gathered to celebrate pioneers and trailblazers of Korean American Community in the Bay Area.
