To our KACF-SF Family,

We hope this message finds you safe and healthy.

The rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic has required us all to shift the way we live, work, and interact in the community. We remain committed as ever to ensuring that we can continue to carry out our mission and support our nonprofit partners and our most vulnerable communities during these extraordinary times.

We are pivoting in our philanthropic efforts.

In light of ongoing public health concerns, CDC guidelines, and government mandates and recommendations, we will continue to conduct virtual meetings indefinitely.  In addition, our 5th Annual Gala will now move to an online gala and auction format (date to be determined) to ensure that critical support and resources remain available to the evolving needs of our community. We will provide details shortly.

We remain committed and responsive to our community.

Though we have all been impacted by the virus, the consequences are far greater for families and individuals facing a loss of a job or business, housing, and diminished access to food and basic necessities. To support our community, KACF-SF is in constant communication with our local organizations, senior centers, and community leaders to ensure we can address both short-term and long-term needs. We are proactively developing a task force and collecting and sharing information during this ever-changing climate.  We will keep you informed as we continue to work with nonprofit organizations in our community.

We ask for your ongoing support.

Many of you have asked what you can do.
  • Take care of yourself and others by keeping a safe social distance and following CDC guidelines.
  • Complete the 2020 Census so that we can be counted. It's now more important than ever that Koreans be counted in order to receive necessary government funding for the next ten years. Tell your family, friends, and your community to participate and share these videos!
  • If you have the means to do so, please GIVE. Vulnerable populations are at an even greater risk during this time. Give to nonprofit organizations on the front line of these efforts. KACF-SF, too, relies on your generosity to carry out our work. Please consider donating to KACF-SF to help us carry out our mission.
  • Join our volunteer response team.  You will receive an email next week with more details.
Let's stay connected.

Finally, please stay in touch – follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@kacfsanfrancisco) for the latest updates. Now more than ever, we must stay connected, informed, and ready to support the changing needs of our community.

Thank you for standing with us during this time.
