February 2020 Newsletter View this email in your browser Celebrating our Community Partners We hosted our 2020 Community Grant partners in early February for an evening of connection, engagement, and brainstorming about how we can work together to strengthen our Korean American community. KACF-SF exists to support the on-the-ground work of these amazing organizations.   Learn more about our grantee partners and their work Karen Ha Scholarship Deadline: March 20 Calling young scholars! The Karen Ha Scholarship opportunity is available to incoming college freshmen and transfer students planning to attend a public college or university in California. The award honors the legacy of Karen Ha, a founding member and inaugural Board co-chair of KACF-SF.  Click here for more information 산타클라라카운티 투표 독려 및 센서스 워크샵 Saturday, February 29, 2-4:30 PM in San Jose Join your fellow Korean American community members and civic leaders to learn about the new voting experience for 2020 Election in Santa Clara County and get updates on the 2020 Census. The free event is presented by Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters and KACS. Light refreshments will be served. The session will be held in Korean.   More Information and RSVP Count Us In! Korean Language Census Resources The 2020 Census is more than a population count - it's an opportunity to shape our future. Full participation will help ensure that the Korean American community receives critical resources, services, and representation. KACF-SF has compiled a list of resources in English and Korean to spread the word about the census and dispel misconceptions. Please help us share this information widely!  Mental Wellness in Our Community The Asian Pacific Islander Health Parity Coalition has created a series of anti-stigma videos for the API community. Thanks to our Associate Board Member, Hyun Joo (video #2!), for your reflection and authentic conversation about mental health stigma in the Korean community.
