Karen Ha Scholarship Application Open

The Karen Ha Scholarship application is now available to incoming college Freshmen and transfer students and is renewable for up to four years. The need-based financial support is open to students who plan to enroll full-time at a public college or university in California in the 2020-2021 school year. 

The annual award honors the legacy of Karen Ha, a founding member and inaugural Board co-chair of KACF-SF.

Help us spread the word about this opportunity.  Application is due March 20.

The Healing Powers of Dude
Featuring Sophie Kim

The newest Netflix family comedy series, "The Healing Powers of Dude" is tackling mental health and the pressures of middle school with none other than the super dog, DUDE!

The Netflix series features the Bay Area's very own Sophie Kim (Amara).

Kumjoo Ahn's Bojagi and Hand-Embroidery Reception
 

International Art Museum of America invites you to a free reception to learn about Bojagi (Korean wrapping cloth) and meet the artist, Kumjoo Ahn.

Edwin Chang's Short Film, WIND
A short film inspired by love, sacrifice, and the immigrant journey


Edwin Chang recently created and directed a Pixar SparksShorts film inspired by his father and grandmother.  The short film portrays love, sacrifice, and the immigrant journey.  Take a behind-the-scenes look of the creation and inspiration behind WIND in the most recent ABC interview with its creator.

2020 Public Service Internship Application Open

The CKA-KALCA Public Service Internship Program places college and graduate, and recent post-graduate students in full-time summer internships throughout DC and NY, and provides a $3,500 scholarship to each student. The program also offers high-impact leadership training and closed-door mentoring with senior Asian American leaders throughout the summer, including the Council of Korean Americans members, influencers, policymakers, and opinion-makers.  Application is due February 14.
