View this email in your browser Giving Thanks This Holiday Season As the holiday season is upon us, we take a moment to reflect with gratitude on all that we have accomplished together.  Because of your unwavering support, we have distributed a total of $2MM in grants since our inception nearly seven years ago. Our grants support nonprofit partners on the ground providing Korean language in-person and telehealth counseling for low-income individuals and families; infoline for the Korean community; shelter and advocacy for domestic violence survivors; legal aid for vulnerable community members; and senior care programs and meals.  This year, we also convened, connected, and collaborated with community leaders to bring solidarity, voice, and empowerment during these pivotal times. Specifically, we: Held a community-wide virtual vigil alongside the Bay Area K-Coalition to bring strength and solidarity following the Atlanta shooting. Convened community leaders from 27 Bay Area Korean American organizations at the first bilingual Korean American Town Hall in collaboration with Korean American Community Services (KACS) and Korean American Bar Association NorCal (KABANC) to promote civic engagement and community safety. Distributed more than 7,500 "How to Report a Hate Crime" booklets and nearly 4,000 personal alarms in partnership with Invest in Others, Esther Lim, nonprofit partners, and community leaders. As we head into another holiday season, I hope you will consider joining the generosity movement on Giving Tuesday and also keep us in mind as part of your end-of-year donations.
