Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson
In her timely examination of race relations in the US, Isabel Wilkerson draws attention to the link between racism in the US and the caste class system in India. This book will leave you more conscious of our otherwise undetected hierarchical structure and better prepared to address societal challenges:

“Caste, along with its faithful servant race, is an x-factor in most any American equation, and any answer one might ever come up with to address our current challenges is flawed without it.”
- Isabel Wilkerson
