How We're Keeping Our Seniors Safe 💗
June 2021 Newsletter
Empowering Our Elders

Last month, we partnered with our friends at EM Collective and Meal Forward to hand out hot meals and personal alarms to seniors at the Korean American Senior Citizens League in San Jose. We are grateful for the impactful partnerships in these times when support for vulnerable population is more critical than ever. So far we've given out over 600 alarms to seniors in the South Bay and the East Bay - and our work continues!

Your donations, big and small, make this work possible. Thank you for your continued support.

Grantee Spotlight
Korean American Community Services

This month, we are spotlighting the incredible work of Korean American Community Services (KACS). Through the KACF-SF-funded Bridging Program, KACS has elevated the Korean American senior caregiving landscape in Santa Clara County and beyond by establishing a supportive and equitable work environment for Korean-speaking caregivers through ongoing training and matching compensation programs.

Beyond senior support efforts like their Senior Nutrition Program and Wellness Check-ins, KACS also offers civic engagement programs to help individuals to lead full lives as American citizens and cultural programs to help Korean Americans stay connected to their roots.

Thank you, KACS, for being a ray of light for our community during the darkest of times and leading the way for our future generations. We are so grateful for all you do.
