A SEASON OF GIVING

Building a Healthy, Empowered, and Vibrant Korean American Community
As we go into the holiday season, we are reminded of our many blessings even in the midst of these challenging times. We are especially grateful to you for stepping up when we needed you most this year.
Through your generosity, we distributed over HALF A MILLION DOLLARS to our nonprofit partners this year.

Korean American individuals and families received critical information, care, and support.  Some of these critical services included unemployment benefits assistance, eviction notice assistance, counseling to low-income families, and shelter to domestic violence survivors.

Over
25,000 hot meals and wellness support were provided to more than 2,000 homebound seniors throughout the Bay Area.
COVID-19 TRIPLED the rate of depression in our country and Asian Americans experienced one of the HIGHEST unemployment rate increases at the onset of the pandemic.

According to the latest economic and mental health data, Asian Americans are disproportionately affected yet most overlooked. The model minority myth continues to narrate a story that many in our community are fine. Yet, low-income Korean Americans are among the hardest-hit.

Our nonprofit partners have reported a significant rise in calls for counseling, social services, unemployment, and eviction assistance.
NOW MORE THAN EVER, WE NEED YOUR PARTNERSHIP.

Your contribution will support:
  • Innovative Korean-speaking telehealth program to expand mental health services to low-income individuals and families
  • Wellness check-ins to hundreds of isolated seniors
  • Legal support for low-income immigrant communities, especially in light of rising evictions among Korean individuals and families
  • Advocacy, outreach, and support for survivors of domestic violence
  • Youth programming to build the next generation of community leaders
Regardless of the amount, we ask that you give this season so that we can ensure health, safety, and hope for local Korean families, individuals, and seniors who need the most assistance during this critical time.

Sending you and your loved ones warm, healthy, and safe holiday wishes,

Lina Park
Executive Director
